The Treeman

Derek's Tree is the brainchild of Mr Derek Liddle a Burton businessman who feels that no child should go without at Christmas Time.

He has been organising the Derek's Tree for the past 14 years, and has become a welcome sight in the Coopers Square shopping centre at the Christmas shopping period. Along with his many helpers he ensures that children within the area benefit.

"The Treeman" is a name that children have coined for Derek in the letters of thanks that have been received by him. They tell a story of hardship and high gratitude.

Without the Derek's Tree appeal many many children would have a miserable time at Christmas when we should all be enjoying ourselves.
